Night Vision I 1987
10¼" x 17⅛"
This is part of a series of pastel paintings I made from observing different types of light in my home. It later became part of a series with the Night Vision title.
This started with the look of the light at early evening. The title comes from a convergence of my own poor night vision, and the idea that the reduction of color at night changes how we see things, leaving room for imagination.
This painting took first place in the Hennepin Artists Annual of 1988.
